My experience with 42Wolfsburg during the remote Piscine — Day 06
Day 06
I will use the chance to sum things up a little bit. It’s t-1d
Today I will talk about why I have choosen Wolfsburg over Heilbronn. At first I signed up for Heilbronn and the staff over there are brilliant and helpful as well. Despite Heilbronn is only 250km away while Wolfsburg lies 350km away I decided to go for Wolfsburg. It was just the opportunity to work in the FabLab. For me with a electrical engineering background this just makes sense.
My summary for the first week:
There were a lot of events which you can’t even buy for money. Remembering listen to Vint Cerf.. Oh my gosh… The week was a bit short to talk to everyone but I tried to participate in a lot of conversations on Discord.
What I have learned so far:
I didn’t learn anything about coding so far but nevertheless I learned so much things in terms of life. I thought that I have met a lot of people in my life so far but this is different. Basically every camper has an interesting story to tell and I would recommend to listen carefully. I made some new friendships which will hopefully last longer than the Piscine.
Discord was pretty quiet during the day. I guess everyone was trying to keep sane. I’m getting a little bit nervous as we will start tomorrow. Tomorrow is the start of a new adventure!
